Arts and Culture Mentorship Program

posted September 27, 2024

In its second year, The Hurford Center’s arts and culture mentorship program matches juniors and seniors with professionals in various creative fields. Throughout the school year, students will meet with their designated mentors four times (in person or virtually) to learn more about their work, career journey, and receive professional guidance and resources.

OPEN to BI-CO JUNIORS and SENIORS

(if you’re a junior going abroad, don’t worry, apply next year!)

From last year’s participants:

“[The mentorship] Gave me the opportunity to talk about things beyond just resumes and job listings. We spoke about some of the other really important considerations when it comes to making decisions about what work you want to pursue such as moving to a new city versus staying where you have a network of connections,..., how to balance working for pay with volunteering your time to promote causes you care deeply about” - Maya Plimack ‘23

“I have always been interested in going into communications/marketing, and since there aren't any classes like that at Haverford, the mentorship program really helped me figure out what the industry is like and what skills I need. My mentor helped me craft resumes and cover letters specific to the industry and ultimately helped me secure an internship for the summer!” - Fatema Mun ‘24
