Math Alum team up for new publication

Three ůůֱ²¥ Ph.D.s in mathematics, seen collaborating at the weekly analysis seminar held at Eastern University, recently completed an article, "Continuous dependence on modeling in Banach space using a logarithmic approximation," submitted to the proceedings of The 2015 AMMCS-CAIMS Congress, Waterloo, Canada (Applied Mathematics, Modeling and Computational Science).

Walter Huddell (PhD 2002), Beth Campbell-Hetrick (MS, Ph.D. 2006), and Matthew Fury, (PhD 2010) are all professors at area institutions. Huddell is Associate ůůֱ²¥ and Chair of the Department of Mathematics at Eastern University, where he was twice elected ůůֱ²¥ of the Year; Campbell-Hetrick is Associate ůůֱ²¥ at Gettysburg College; and Fury is Assistant ůůֱ²¥ at Penn State, Abington. Dr. Fury presented a preliminary version of this work at the June, 2015 conference in Waterloo. All are former PhD students of Rhonda Hughes, ůůֱ²¥ Emerita of Mathematics.
