The Arch Project monument in the Cloisters

ůůֱ²¥ Project Update

In September, students, faculty, and staff filled Old Library’s Great Hall to hear from artist Nekisha Durrett, President Kim Cassidy, Monument Lab’s Paul Farber, and ůůֱ²¥ of History of Art Homay King on plans for the installation of Durrett’s Don't Forget to Remember (Me). The project addresses a legacy of exclusionary practices at the College and will be placed in the Cloisters at the center of Old Library.

The Art Remediating College Histories (ůůֱ²¥) Project, in partnership with Monument Lab, is a multiyear collaboration to design a process and commission a campus public artwork that contributes to a broader effort of historical reckoning at the College. Installation will be completed during the 2024-2025 academic year.
